Larry's Running Blog

A rambling commentary on my running and a log of what I've been up to with my training. It, hopefully, will show my progress and improvements towards my running goals and enjoyment of keeping myself fit and healthy.

Still no improvement in the foot/toe situation. I haven't cycled since Wednesday as its been so windy then too hot today. I walked 2.5 miles this evening and every step was painfull and slow. I have to go back to the doctor on Tuesday for the results of the x ray I had done on Friday but I am not hopeful. What can he say? Its been 2 weeks now and no improvement so I'm not only bloody fed up but bloody cross too.
The offending weights bench that kicked me in the night and caused this latest injury has now been diamantled and relegated to the garden where, hopefully, it will cause no further damage. Its been lurking in my bedroom, disguised as a clothes horse and kicking me at regular intervals for a couple of years now, its days are numbered as Hubby has said he will cut it up with his welder next week. Too late for me, sadly, but I will get some sadistic satisfaction in seeing it in pieces.

I am sure I will be feeling better soon, I don't stay low for long but I am soooooooo fed up with getting injured every time something serious is in the pipeline.
I am really wondering if it is all worth it, but then I read the reports of everyone getting out there and having a good time and I know that yes, of course its worth it.
Another couple of weeks and I'll be back on course for the marathon training.

Marathon training........................who said that?

Recognise that cut & paste Larry? Keep the chin up coz you will be back in no time. It always seems like forever when you are injured.
