I have broken a toe. Its on the right foot, the one next to the little toe. Its a pain in the @rse because running is out of the question for the time being.
The last time I ran was the Sunday before last. I got up in the night following that run, stubbed my toe on the weights bench in the bedroom (which is now going to be dismantled as its a regular occurence in the dark) and that was it - damage done.
Its now strapped to the one next to it but apparently there is nothing else to be done. Running can resume once it stops hurting, which is not yet!
So, I've been cycling, walking little and slow and doing the Pilates classes.
All very enjoyable but I will be so glad to get out for a run again.
Of course, this happened at the start of marathon training.
Nothing I can do about it so go with the flow :0)
Monday 10 July
cycled 22 miles
2 hours
walked 2 miles
