Larry's Running Blog

A rambling commentary on my running and a log of what I've been up to with my training. It, hopefully, will show my progress and improvements towards my running goals and enjoyment of keeping myself fit and healthy.

I've been fighting a cold for the last couple of days, taking anything that will zap it before it gets a hold but unfortunately its beaten me and after a bad night I've woken today with a temperature and snotty head.
So I can't do my long run - or any run - today. Again. I am fed up with this. Now that the calf is feeling a lot better I had intended to get another long run in before the taper but I am not risking going for a run with this lurgie and blowing all the work I've done.
I hope that it will go off in a couple of days and I can get out on Tuesday for a 15/16 miler then next Sunday for a 20 miler and then it will be taper time. If this plan doesn't work out then I am seriously worried that I will be undertrained.
I'm crossing everything and hoping for the best.

    Larry!

A little bottle of sensible pills dispensed your way

Instructions:- take one pill whenever you think/decide to squeeze 2 long runs in during one week. Also take one when you try to play catch up with your training!
