Larry's Running Blog

A rambling commentary on my running and a log of what I've been up to with my training. It, hopefully, will show my progress and improvements towards my running goals and enjoyment of keeping myself fit and healthy.

Thanks everyone, for the comments and encouragement.

The calf is still sore to touch, 8 days gone now. Counting down until I can run again. Its better for walking on though and I did 3 miles slowly yesterday without discomfort. It seems to be more painful after I have sat for a while and it has stiffened up.
I need to phone the physio for another appointment for next week. That's something I am not looking forward to as I know it will hurt a lot but its a necessary evil.
I had a trip to Aldi today - I know, I wasn't going to but I really needed that jacket and of course the hat, head band and socks were obviously going to jump into my hands as well.

I'm off for another walk now. Its a horrible day weatherwise and it keeps raining and blowing but it will seem better once I am out in it, rather than trying to think of excuses not to go out in it.

Your having similar weather to me.

Like you I sometimes just enjoying being out for the sake of it. Look after yourself and try not to rush back.

From what you said earlier it seems that the only kind of exercise available to you (excl swimbling)is core stability stuff.

Will you going to Trailplus or turning up at a spring race with a 6 pack?
