Yesterday I did a proper run again. I had been out for a couple of short (2 mile) runs at the end of last week which were ok so I decided to go a bit further and see how the several injuries are settleing.
Also, I wore my Reeboks (stability) shoes again to see if that would make any difference to the knee pain. I have only had this trouble since wearing the Nike Frees but at the same time I have been doing hill running with the club so I can't really say either one has caused it. I love running in the Frees but I will wear the other shoes for a few runs and see if the pain settles with that. I can only run on flat, even surfaces at the moment because of the sprained ankle so hopefully it will all come together soon.
The knee was fine whilst running today.
The calf is a little sore after the run and today, so lots of stretching for that.
The ankle was protesting a bit after about 3 miles but was ok after stopping.
It was so good to be running again, first time properly for 4 weeks. What joy! Now I have to curb my enthusiasm and build up slowly again.
3.5 miles
Average HR 142
